Please join us in the Bookshop for the second instalment of Thiiird Magazine's event platform Intersect, dedicated to discussing issues that are connected with and matter to diversity and community:
Intersect 2: Reclaiming the Narrative: Black Creators in Creative Industries.
Whilst conversations around the representation are slowly becoming acknowledged in the arts, media, and advertising, focus has widely been limited to who we are seeing in front of the camera, and very little is speculated on the hurdle creators who are people of colour still face when creating work. It is therefore with great pleasure that we speak to the black rising stars of their creative industries including photographer Adama Jalloh, podcasters Sistren, director Iggy Ldn and performer Sadie Sinner.
These self-made black creatives are using their art forms to break through the creative industries, exploring culture in a way that represent their identities as well as the experience of a wider BAME community in creative fields which may not have always afforded them space.
Thiiird Magazine aims to inclusively celebrate the diversity of identity and cultural heritage in fashion, arts, culture, and through human stories.
