Francis Bacon: Study for a Portrait is the first dedicated to portraits of the artist. Shot between the 1920s and 1990s the book features over 180 photographs taken by more than 60 photographers including some of the most famous in history. The images range from the iconic to the previously unseen and are accompanied by anecdotes and memories from the shoots.

It is published by the Francis Bacon MB Art Foundation, Monaco in an edition of 584 copies representing the number of paintings produced by Bacon and each comes with a signed and number print by Michel Nguyen.

Only 300 are for sale and are available exclusively from the Bookshop in the UK.
