They were vulnerable, and I liked them. But they felt as if they didn’t belong to me. After some searching through the contact sheets, I was overwhelmed with all sorts of other photos, ones that neither Christer nor I had previously cared about. Perhaps the eyes become softer over the years and more forgiving. The visual perception changes and the sheets open up to a different interpretation.
