Form & Function is the first book by Chloe Rosser. It comprises of 74 photographs from two of Rosser’s series, Form and Function. It includes a foreword by Jude Hull, Photographs Specialist and Head of Sale at Christie’s, and an essay by Laura Noble, director of L A Noble Gallery.
Form & Function explores the human condition and our fraught relationship
with the body. In these photographs, what should be intimately familiar is transformed into unfamiliar sculptures that critique body image social norms.
London born photographer and graduate of Falmouth University Chloe Rosser is represented by L A Noble Gallery. She has exhibited extensively across the UK, in shows such as Fresh Faced + Wild Eyed and The London Art Fair. Solo exhibitions include Forms at The Vaults Gallery and Form & Function at Photofusion in London. She was selected for The Catlin Guide 2014 as one of the “40 most promising new graduate artists in the UK”. She was a finalist in the Renaissance Photography Prize 2015 and was a winner in the ArtSlant Prize 2016. She was longlisted in the 10th Aesthetica Art Prize and in 2018 was an Editor’s Pick from Life Framer. She received an Honourable Mention in the International Photography Awards 2018 and won First Place in the Tokyo International Foto Awards 2019. Rosser took part in the 209 Women project.
