Award-winning writer Geoff Dyer presents an illustrated tour through the life and works of US photographer Garry Winogrand. One of the most significant photographers of his generation, Winogrand’s insightful, provocative, tender and resonant images offer a masterclass in street photography.
A long-term admirer of his work, Dyer’s latest publication The Street Philosophy of Garry Winogrand brings together one hundred photographs from the Winogrand archive, each accompanied by an original essay.
In this special event for TPG, Dyer further riffs off a selection of both iconic and unseen works in trademark style, inviting new ways of looking at and connecting key themes and subjects in Winogrand’s work.
A book signing follows the talk, if you are unable to make it to the event signed copies of The Street Philosophy of Garry Winogrand are available to pre-order.
Booking for this event is essential, tickets can be booked here.
