Nomura, Sakiko: Lirio (signed limited edition)

ition:Sakiko Nomura’s new photobook Lirio takes its name from the Spanish word for the lily, a flower that symbolizes purity, death, and rebirth in Japan.
Composed of works first shown at the major retrospective “Sakiko Nomura: Tender is the Night” at Fundación MAPFRE in Madrid (February 6–May 11, 2025), “Lirio” gradually unveils Nomura’s distinctive photographic vision of the world through dark, moody shots of flowers, nude male and female bodies, ominous clouds, fragments of cities, emotional close-ups of faces, and strange scenarios that seem to unfold between dream and reality.
