Spike Island documents a legendary day in British youth culture, The Stone Roses concert on 27 May 1990 on Spike Island in Cheshire.
The event was the high point of the "Madchester" scene where indie rock met rave and focuses on the crowd of 30,000 and their fashions for a snapshot of very particular time and place.
The cover is by Juergen Teller, his only photograph in the book though he is featured inside with the rest by Patrick Harrison, Peter J. Walsh and Dave Swindells with a foreward by former editor of The Face Sheryl Garratt.
